AN House
AN House

Placed in the countryside of São Paulo, the AN House boasts a dynamic entrance flanked by landscaping that leads to a striking ascending access. The fluid layout visually releases the volume through cantilevers and an elongated roof. The residence unfolds across a single floor, with the lower volume reserved solely for service areas. The zoning of the spaces creates longitudinal blocks that spatialize the intimate area, functional area, and leisure area, respectively. This organization results in a dynamic facade, characterized by wooden vertical planes in the intimate and functional areas, forming a closed volumetry. Simultaneously, the leisure area configures an expansive and open space on the facade, which is the outcome of a lightweight roof and glass enclosures that can be retracted. This leisure space presents a fluid dynamic that unites social areas, which may or may not be enclosed by the glass panels. Facing a deck featuring a pool and fireplace, the use of the outdoor area becomes timeless. The materiality is defined by wood, stones, and concrete, always integrated with the vegetation, allowing for an imposing yet graceful visual presence.
